Simplicity
Your logo design should be simple so people create an image in their minds that trigger the idea of your product or services
Size
You should always have at least 3 sizes of your logo (small, medium and large) because you never know what medium you will use next to do your advertising, nor the space provided for its inclusion
Color
Color is very important especially when it comes to designing a logo. Your logo should look good in color (if you so chose to have it) as well as a black and white version.
Resolution
Your logo should be designed and kept in various resolutions ( at least 72 dpi for web, 200 dpi for print)
